About Me

Bio

Eleonora Susanna is an opera singer and performer specialized in extended vocal techniques. Gifted with a dark timbre and a versatile voice, she earned a degree in philosophy with top honors from Sapienza University of Rome, and graduated with distinction in opera singing under the guidance of Ambra Vespasiani at the Giulio Briccialdi Conservatory in Terni.

She specialized in contemporary repertoire with maestro Nicholas Isherwood and obtained a second-level master's degree in contemporary music at the Santa Cecilia Conservatory in Rome. She is currently a PhD student at the Giulio Briccialdi Conservatory in Terni.

Always interested in vocal research and experimentation, she collaborates with various musical ensembles such as Vox Nova, Lontano Ensemble, and Evo Ensemble, and was the last singer to work with maestro Fausto Razzi. She has performed at MACRO – Museum of Contemporary Art in Rome, the Italian Cultural Institute in Berlin, the Chigiana Music Academy, the Scelsi Foundation, and the Cini Foundation; she has also interpreted several classical operatic roles in productions conducted by Maestro Stephen Kramer.

She wrote the libretto for the sci-fi electronic opera *Falena*, partially composed by Jue Wang, Filippo Okapi, and Cristiano Riccardi.

She plays bass and guitar, and under the pseudonym Eleonora Amianto has written short stories published in “La Lettura” of Corriere della Sera.

The publishing house Redstar released the graphic novel *Roma Terribile*, written by her and illustrated by Simone Tso, reviewed in various outlets including Rolling Stone Magazine.
